The Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA), in partnership with the United Kingdom’s Defence Innovation, has released a Request for Tender (RFT) for the Land Distributed Tactical Power Management Challenge (Power Challenge). This challenge is seeking innovative electrical power solutions to support Defence capability needs.

Approach to market

The challenge focuses on increasing available electrical energy for the individual soldier, as well as at platoon and company levels, to meet future power demands. Solutions should enable faster recharging of technology and energy storage systems (power banks), ensuring sustained operational capability.

The RFT is available on AusTender, closing at 2:00 pm AEDT, Thursday 15 October 2026.
